  • Philadelphia Eagles
    A professional American football team, Philadelphia Eagles is based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The team was founded in 1993 and is the member of the Eastern Division of the National Football Conference in the National Football League. Andy Reid is the current head coach of the team. Philadelphia Eagles mascot’s name is Swoop. The team’s colors are: midnight green, black, white, and silver.

    In order to fill the roster in 1943, the team temporarily merged with the Pittsburgh Steelers to form a team known as "the Phil-Pitt Steagles”. The merger was dissolved at the end of the 1943 season. In 1960 the Eagles won their third NFL championship. The team finished its 2005 season with the record of 6-10 and 2006 season with the record of 10-6.  

    The team plays their home games at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia. Since 1993, the Eagles have won three NFL Championships, three Conference Championships and ten Division Championships. The team also has made two Super Bowl appearances. Eagle’s games are broadcast in the greater Philadelphia area on 94.1 FM WYSP.

  • Philadelphia Flyers
    A professional ice hockey team, Philadelphia Flyers is based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The team was founded in 1967 and play in the National Hockey League (NHL). John Stevens is the current head coach of the Flyers. The team plays their home games at Wachovia Center in Philadelphia.

    The Flyers posted the best record in the NHL in 1984-85, they defeated the defending Stanley Cup Champion Edmonton Oilers in Game 1 by a score of 4-1 at home but the Oilers won the next four games and the series. In 1987-88, the team finished third in the Patrick Division and also managed to take a 3-1 series lead on their first round opponents, the Washington Capitals.

    In 2000-01, the Flyers lost to Buffalo in six games. In 2001-02, the Flyers only managed to score a meager two goals in a five-game loss to the Ottawa Senators. In 2002-03, the Flyers defeated Toronto in seven games. The team finished 2005-06 season with the record of  45-26. The team’s colors are: black, orange, and white. The team has won two Stanley Cups Championships.

  • Philadelphia Phillies
    A major league baseball team, Philadelphia Phillies is based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The team was established in 1883 and currently is a member of the Eastern Division in the National League.  The Phillies are considered as the oldest continuous one-name, one-city franchise in all of American professional sports. The team play their home games at the Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

    In 1915, the Phillies won their first pennant. In 1916, the Phillies battled the Brooklyn Dodgers down to the wire for a chance at their second straight pennant title but fell back by two-and-a-half games with a 91-62 record. The Phillies led the league for most of the 1950 season. In 1972, The Phillies were the worst team in baseball. The Phillies won 3 straight division titles from 1976 to 1978.

    The Phillies made their first big acquisition of the 2006 off-season by acquiring pitcher Freddy Garcia from the Chicago White Sox for minor league pitchers Gavin Floyd (AAA in 2006) and Gio Gonzalez (AA in 2006). The main team colors are red and white, with blue serving as a prominent accent. Since 1883, the team has won one World Series title (1980), five NL Pennants (1993, 1983, 1980, 1950 and 1915) and six East Division titles (1993, 1983, 1980, 1978, 1977, and 1976).

  • Philadelphia 76ers
    A professional basketball team, Philadelphia 76ers is based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The team was established in 1939 and play in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Maurice Cheeks is the current head coach of the team. The team was founded as Syracuse Nationals and in 1963 renamed as Philadelphia 76ers. In 1955, the Nationals won the NBA championship.

    During 1966-67 season, the Philadelphia 76ers beat the Celtics in five games and went to victory and the NBA Finals. In 1966-67 Sixers were voted the best team in league history during the NBA's 35th anniversary celebration. At the end of the 1967-68 season, the 76ers traded Chamberlain to the Los Angeles Lakers for three role players and this was considered as one of the most lopsided in NBA history that sent the Sixers into a freefall.

    The 76ers finished the 1972-73 season with only nine wins out of 82 games. The team has won three Championships in (1954-55, 1966-67, 1982-83), five Conference Titles in (1976-77, 1979-80, 1981-82, 1982-83, 2000-01) and  eleven Division Titles in (1949-50, 1953-54, 1954-55, 1965-66, 1966-67, 1967-68, 1976-77, 1977-78, 1982-83, 1989-90, 2000-01). The team play their home games at Wachovia Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The team’s colors are: black, red, gold, blue, and white.
